F.U.E.L. Expanded Learning is a non-profit organization Program, designed to provide cultural sensitivity, community environmental factors, and direct academic needs in mind. The founders of F.U.E.L.have served in over 40 very different communities throughout Tulare County. We have learned from years of experience, that there are no two school sites alike, within the county. More importantly, what your students are lacking in academic support, is not being met by a boxed curriculum.
Our program is designed to work collaboratively with all key partners from the Districts, School Site Administrators, Learning Directors/Curriculum Specialist, grade level teachers, community leaders, on-site parents, and students. We are here to serve the whole child, both emotionally and physically. We are the team to have, working alongside your district to support positive character building while integrating 21st-century learning skills.

I've been working in After School Programs for sixteen years now. Starting off as a Program Leader in my first year, I quickly moved up the ladder in the after school world. Other positions I held were Leap Frog Technician, Lead Program Leader, Site Coordinator, Area Coordinator, and now Chief Operating Officer, for the F.U.E.L. Expanded Learning Program. I have been trained in Prevention Programs such as drug and alcohol, bullying, and suicide. In the past, I have successfully managed ten after school sites under me, within North Tulare County. I've also developed and organized a successful Sports League with an emphasis in Pursuing Victory With Honor, in connection with Character Counts, for after school programs. For the sports leagues, I have organized game schedules, transportation, parent meetings, staff training, and championship games for football, soccer, baseball, and basketball. I have also organized a successful cheerleading competition, where over 20 sites participated. It has always been my desire to give students unique opportunities, experiences, and lessons that they can always remember throughout their lifetime.

I've been working in partnership with After School Programs for twenty years. Eight of those years were spent creating and building quality after school programs throughout Tulare County. Working as a partner with the District Superintendents, School Principals and Teachers, I drafted After School Plans to meet the needs of school sites and their community goals. In addition, I worked with program staff to help design a quality after school program. I've trained and mentored in A.S.E.S. program support, program development, classroom management, lesson planning, professional development and more. Prior to building after school programs, I spent seven years in the classroom developing a modeled after school classroom. My focus has always been to establish and provide a positive work environment where students' social and emotional needs are met, so they can be more successful in the classroom and seek out their full potential. It is my pleasure to have the opportunity to make a difference in the communities I serve. Most importantly, it is my passion to develop unique opportunities that can be foreseen as life changing experiences for our young people, so they can be the next generation of FutureUnique EnthusiasticLeaders.
